Welcome to my modeling page on IDF (Israel Defense Force) armour. The purpose of this page is the discussion and modeling of AFVs (armour fighting vehicles) as well as the soft skins which keep them running. Disparaging comments or political debate are not welcome and belong in other sites.
While the IDF has always been up to the task at hand, Its equipment has not. Due to all manner of reasons political and other wise acquisition of the needed equipment has meant using what ever could be begged, borrowed or stolen. This in turn has meant The IDF acquired a very eclectic group of vehicles. These vehicles came from numerous countries and somtimes arab adversaries themselves. Modifying these vehicles into something standardized produced whole new versions of some vehicles.
Modeling these vehicles can be very rewarding if not frustrating. Finding and understanding references on these vehicles can almost impossible. What isn't secret, is lost in time. This site's purpose is an attempt in indexing and sharing or references to aid in building accurate versions of these vehicles.
